"Your grace has found me just as I am: empty handed, but alive in your hands. Forever I am changed by your love, in the presence of your Majesty."
-Delirious
There is only one reason-Jesus. The one who saves. The only one who will ever truly make injustice right. The lifebreather. He carries me. He died and was resurrected to make atonement for each and every one of my (along with every other human being of all of time's) sins. His love is the only reason I have the strength to even attempt giving what He has given me.
Welcome! After serving as a nurse in a children's center in Mozambique, Africa and directing the medical care of close to 50 children under the age of 5 years from 2008-2010 over 8,000 miles from friends and family, God has led me to spend a bit of time back at home in the States. I completed two online graduate certificate programs in public health with concentrations in Global Health and Maternal Child Health in August 2011 while working part-time in a local hospital here in Nashville. And, in this next season, God has called me to stay here in the States, move into a transitional neighborhood to walk life alongside them, and continue being closely involved in local and global missions. If you are reading this for the first time and would like to understand more of how I got to Mozambique check out May '07 and Feb '08 under blast from the past below. Or to find out how I decided upon this current's season's endeavor, check out Oct '11. Enjoy!
