It's been awhile

Sorry it's been so long. I'm safe at home in the States. I recovered from jet lag super quickly. I have to admit though, I think the last 8 months is catching up to me and I'm simply exhausted. I've been sleeping a lot. Good thing I have the freedom to do so. I'm thankful that, for the moment, I haven't experienced any reverse culture shock, and I'm praying I won't.

I'm enjoying just being home with family and friends. Last Saturday all my highschool girlfriends suprised me for a dinner out and old-fashioned sleepover. We had a blast, just catching up on each other's lives. We normally get together every 6 months or so, since all 8 of us live in 5 different cities (3 different states and 2 different countries for the moment). It was perfect. I've had my first chance to show my video to supporters and share with them what's going on. My mom had a bunch of the ladies she used to work with and whom I've known for so many years come over for dinner and sharing. They've supported me a lot since I've been gone, so I really enjoyed getting to see them for a few hours.

Next I'm headed to Nashville. I'm hoping to show my video and share at least 3 times, not including individual showings for a few that can't make it out while I'm there. I cannot wait to see all my friends and the girls I worked with at Vandy! Plus, I'm craving SUSHI....i've been holding out for my fav restaurants while i'm there.

From there, I'm making a stop-over in Birminham to visit a close friend/supporter. My mom will meet me there and then we are on to Louisiana to visit extended family! Finally, I'll head back home for some more fellowship, rest, and 1 more chance to share at the church I grew up in.

I have a few prayer requests for my remaining time here:
-It will be blessed and restful
-All my travels will be safe
-I will be able to share God's heart with all my supporters and friends
-God will show me His vision for me for this next time
-God's hand will be over all the other missionaries back at Zimpeto taking over my work and all the kids I've been caring for! I miss them all dearly and can't wait to get back.
